Chelsea picture special: Rudiger, Barkley, Pulisic and Abraham train ahead of Everton clash

Chelsea kick-off the Premier League weekend as they face Everton at Goodison Park in today's early game.

The Blues go into the clash having returned to winning ways last time out as they got the better of Aston Villa at Stamford Bridge thanks to goals from Tammy Abraham and Mason Mount.

That 2-1 success ended a run of three games without a win across all competitions.

Lampard delighted with transfer embargo being lifted

Despite the Toffees' poor form, Frank Lampard is expecting a tough test on Merseyside.

"First of all any trip to Everton is tough. I went there as a player many a time and the atmosphere of the stadium, the support of the home fans is big," he told reporters on  Friday.

"I'm sure there will be a bounce effect for them, they have one of their heroes in charge for this game, in the short term or whatever.

"So I feel we have to be very much on guard against a team like that.

"We slightly had it against West Ham last week.

"So there's a small reminder for us last Saturday. So it will be exactly the same what I tell the players, it's a dangerous, dangerous team to play at this moment particularly."

In terms of team news, Antonio Rudiger will miss the game but the good news is that he is closing in on a return to action.

Meanwhile, Abraham is fit and Ross Barkley could feature against his former club after not making an appearance for the west London outfit since the 1-0 win over Newcastle United in October.

Elsewhere, the Blues squad including the likes of Reece James, Christian Pulisic, N'Golo Kante and Jorginho were put through their paces at the club's training base in Cobham on Friday afternoon.
