Chelsea picture special: Barkley, Pulisic, Jorginho and Gilmour train ahead of Man United clash

Chelsea welcome Manchester United to Stamford Bridge tonight in round four of the Carabao Cup.

The Blues overcame Grimsby Town 7-1 to set up a mouth-watering all Premier League tie against a Red Devils side who needed a penalty shoot-out to overcome Rochdale in the last round.

Frank Lampard's side will start the game as slight favourites given they're in a brilliant run of form - seven straight wins across all competitions - but the Blues head coach has hinted at heavy squad rotation for United's visit.

"I did want to play every game. The beauty of experience and on sitting on this side is that you just see it slightly differently. You try to see the bigger picture," he told reporters on Tuesday.

"I think the demands in the modern day are even more on the players.

"So I have to take those things into account but I don't want to in any way take this game lightly even if I do have to make changes. I will make them because I believe in the squad being strong throughout.

"If there are players that step out of the line up with a view to the coming weeks then it will be done in the big picture. I understand how players are and some of them want to play.

"We will try to have conversations to let them know what their position is. The players that start will give anything. The players that don't or out of the squad will be supporting hugely.

"That's how we will be successful."

In terms of team news, three players who won't feature tonight are N'Golo Kante, Antonio Rudiger and Ruben Loftus-Cheek because of injury.

Although, Lampard has been handed a double fitness boost as Ross Barkley and Andreas Christensen were pictured in training.

The Blues squad including the likes of Billy Gilmour, Callum Hudson-Odoi, Reece James, Mason Mount, Jorginho, Christian Pulisic and Tammy Abraham were put through their paces at the club's training base in Cobham on Tuesday afternoon.
