The return of Callum Hudson-Odoi has been wonderful news for everyone associated with Chelsea.
The winger has been out of action since last season and has spent the summer months mounting his recovery as he looks to kick on under Frank Lampard.
Months of rehabilitation and on-field training led him to feature for the under-23s, before making his comeback appearance midweek against Grimsby Town.
Hudson-Odoi played the full 90 minutes of that game meaning that he was never likely to be ready to start against Brighton in the Premier League.
However the 18-year-old did make an appearance as a second half substitute and made quite an impression.
Fans, pundits and players have all been full of praise for the way Callum Hudson-Odoi has handled his return to fitness, but one Chelsea outcast has also passed on his well wishes.
Danny Drinkwater looks unlikely to have a Chelsea future himself, but was quick to respond to the winger's Instagram message after the clash with Brighton.
Replying to Hudson-Odoi's post, he said: "Good to see ya back out there lad!"
Drinkwater is currently on loan with Premier League side Burnley after falling out of favour at Stamford Bridge, but it's great to see him getting behind one of his teammates from his parent club.
