Chelsea on red alert as Youssoufa Moukoko’s agent makes bombshell statement on star’s transfer future

Chelsea target Youssoufa Moukoko is not on the verge of signing a new contract with Borussia Dortmund, his agent has confirmed.

Reports in Germany has suggested the Bundesliga club were about to win the battle for the 18-year-old’s signature, ahead of his deal expiring in the summer.

Manchester United, Barcelona, Liverpool and Chelsea are all keen on Moukoko after his breakout season in Dortmund bagged him a spot at the World Cup with Germany.

Negotiations over a pre-contract agreement can begin in January, six months before he becomes a free agent.

Moukoko’s agent, Patrick Williams, has spoken out on the interest in Moukoko as talks continue with Borussia. He also denied that the youngster is seeking a huge pay rise, with rumours saying a £115,000 weekly wage being demanded.

He told Sky Sports in Germany: “I can confirm that we are not about to conclude a contract extension with Borussia Dortmund.

“I can also assure you that the numbers that are circulating are simply not correct and Youssoufa was never offered that much. But we are still in contact with Dortmund and will see what the next few days bring.

“A player like Youssoufa is interesting for every top club in the world. Especially when he is free and has a future in the German national team.”
