Chelsea offer Michy Batshuayi to Napoli but Serie A side want Fernando Llorente

Napoli have been offered the chance to sign Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi but are leaning towards a deal for Fernando Llorente.

European clubs have until Monday night to act in the transfer market with Batshuayi deemed surplus to requirements at Stamford Bridge and Llorente now a free agent after his Tottenham contract expired.

The Serie A club have been in contact with the Blues over a loan move for Batshuayi, who joined Chelsea for £33million in 2016 but has since had spells at Borussia Dortmund, Valencia and Crystal Palace.

But it is thought they currently favour a deal for Llorente who, aged 34, is nine years older than Batshuayi but is highly regarded in Italy after two productive seasons at Juventus and represents a much cheaper alternative given the absence of a loan fee and lower wage demands.

Llorente left Spurs after two seasons at the club, scoring 13 goals in all competitions and is keen on move to Napoli with both parties hopeful of completing a deal in time.
