Chelsea news: Thomas Tuchel eyes £34m Tottenham transfer target amid race for Serie A star

Here is your Chelsea morning digest on Monday, June 13.

Gabriel Jesus told to join Chelsea over Arsenal

Stan Collymore has told Gabriel Jesus to join Chelsea over Arsenal in the summer transfer window. football.london understands that the Brazilian international is on the Gunners' list of forward options this summer and technical director Edu has held talks with the player's representatives in recent months.

However, the Blues have also been linked with a move over the last week given the uncertainty surrounding Blues' frontman Romelu Lukaku. And, former Liverpool star Collymore has urged Jesus to pick Thomas Tuchel over Mikel Arteta because he doesn't fully trust the Spaniard to make the most of the Brazilian's talents.

"There are rumours of Chelsea sniffing around as well and I don’t think Arsenal will be the only club in the race for him this summer," he told The Mirror. "But let’s say Arsenal get him, my general worry and concern about Arsenal, as ever, is could we trust Mikel Arteta to get the best out of Jesus, could he be the manager who makes him fulfil his potential if Pep Guardiola couldn’t? I don’t think so.

"But if he goes to Chelsea he could be the player Romelu Lukaku was promised to be but wasn’t. At Chelsea, they create loads of chances, they will stick the ball in the box and Jesus can be the fox in the box I’ve so often said they need.

"If Jesus just concentrated on doing some really good work in the box, he could be that man — what he’s not going to do is fire Arsenal into the Champions League next season because it’s not just a case of them needing a finisher."

Chelsea and Tottenham 'to begin £34m transfer bidding'

Chelsea and Tottenham look to have stepped up their efforts to sign Gleison Bremer in the summer transfer window. The 25-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to the Premier League lately, with Arsenal among several sides also credited with interest in the Torino defender.

With both sides eager to sign Bremer this summer, Italian newspaper La Stampa, via Milan News, report that the two London clubs are ready to start bidding at €40million (£34m). The Brazilian featured 33 times for Ivan Juric's side in the Serie A this season, steering the Italian side to a top-10 finish.

His impressive displays have also reportedly courted the attention of Bayern Munich and Inter Milan, though the latter now seems to have pulled out after having seemingly convinced Alessandro Bastoni to stay.

Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United told Raphinha price

Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United have been told what they must pay to secure the signing of Raphinha this summer, with reports suggesting Leeds United will demand more than £45million for his signature.

According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, as cited by the Metro, Leeds will hold out for a fee in excess of £45million for Raphinha. Even though it's a lot of money, for someone of his quality, it's still a reasonable price — though, whether he wants to leave is of course another matter.
