Chelsea news: Tammy Abraham injury, Moussa Dembele transfer update, Lampard told to sign striker

Yesterday was match day for Chelsea - and it was a big one as the Arsenal visited Stamford Bridge in a London derby.

Frank Lampard's Blues welcomed the Gunners to Stamford Bridge, with Chelsea sitting ten points above their opponents in the Premier League table.

Chelsea started brightly, with Jorginho converting a penalty after David Luiz was sent off for hauling down Tammy Abraham following a Shkodran Mustafi mistake.

But Gabriel Martinelli equalised for the Gunners in the second half, capitalising on a slip from N'Golo Kante.

Cesar Azpilicueta thought he had sealed all three points for Lampard's side after his goal in the 84th minute, but Hector Bellerin popped up with another equaliser for the visitors before full-time.

Tammy Abraham injury

Tammy Abraham picked up an ankle injury towards the end of the game against Arsenal.

The striker ran into the advertising boards surrounding the pitch after a challenge with Rob Holding - from which Chelsea scored their second goal.

The striker looked to be in plenty of pain after the match, with Frank Lampard giving an update on his injury status.

Meanwhile, Abraham was seen limping as he left Stamford Bridge, but he was not wearing a protective boot - which could be a good sign.

Kepa

Kepa Arrizabalaga has been under scrutiny for his poor form of late, and was again criticised for his performance against Arsenal.

The Chelsea keeper was beaten in a one-on-one by Gabriel Martinelli, and could not get to Hector Bellerin's shot in time to keep it out.

The 25-year-old has been told by a former Chelsea star that the next few months at Stamford Bridge will be "massive" for his career - both at Chelsea and the rest of his future.

But after Lyon beat Lille in the Coupe de la Ligue semi-final, Dembele told reporters that he would not be leaving the club in the January transfer window.

"I am a Lyon player and I will remain so until the end of the season," he stated.

"I do not think that there will be a departure this winter. Lots of things are being said. It is up to me to ignore that and remain concentrated on the pitch."
