The Blues legend was named as Maurizio Sarri's successor after a number of weeks of negotiations between Chelsea and Derby.

And upon arriving at the club there were a number of questions waiting for him from the media about the transfer ban, the youngsters and his backroom staff.

Here's everything he said.

Academy is key

Chelsea have a huge Loan Army.

But with a transfer ban in place, they may have to call on a number of those players who have spent a seasno or more out on loan away from Stamford Bridge.

The Chelsea academy is widely regarded as one of the best in the country, but under previous managers the young talent have not been given a chance to shine.

Lampard is ready to set that straight, whether he had a choice or not.

Here's what he thinks about the Blues academy.

Loftus-Cheek injury update

Ruben Loftus-Cheek will be aiming to get back fit as quickly as possible to impress new boss Frank Lampard.

And the England midfielder is well on the road to recovery.

Loftus-Cheek suffered a ruptured archilles tendon in the friendly against New England Revolution, causing him to miss the Europa League final victory against London rivals Arsenal in Baku in May.

But he delivered an injury update that will delight the Chelsea fans.

Abraham a winner

A number of players will be looking at Lampard coming in and thinking it is a new lease of life for them.

Chelsea fans have been clamouring for the young players to be thrown in to the first team, with one in particular at the top of the list in that regard.
