Chelsea were in Premier League action yesterday as they extended their winning run in the league with a 2-1 win over bottom of the league Watford at Vicarage Road.
Frank Lampard's men had a disappointing midweek result as they bowed out of the Carabao Cup at the hands of Manchester United, but the three Premier League points would have been a welcome reprive.
The Blues now turn their attention to Champions League action as they take on Ajax in the Champions League on Tuesday as they look to cement their place at the top of Group H.
As the players start their preparations for that match, take a look at the latest news doing the rounds from Stamford Bridge over the last 24 hours.
Watford win reaction
Chelsea picked up their seventh win of the season as the Blues beat the Hornets 2-1 at Vicarage Road to go up to third in the Premier League table.
Goals from Tammy Abraham and Christian Pulisic put Chelsea two goals to the good, although things weren't as comfortable as they would have hoped after a penalty awarded by VAR.

Jorginho's suspension
One negative from the win was the yellow card picked up by midfielder and vice captain Jorginho.
The Italian was shown the yellow card during the final minutes of the match after taking his time in taking a free kick. Unfortunately for Chelsea, the card was Jorginho's fifth of the season, meaning that he will now face a suspension.
The midfielder has been a key member of Frank Lampard's Chelsea team this season, after a difficult first campaign in England.

Lampard on VAR
Although it didn't have an impact on the outcome of the match, Chelsea were still left annoyed by the decision that saw them concede the goal that put pressure on the final 10 minutes of the match as Watford halved the deficit.
VAR overrulled the decision on the alleged Jorginho trip on Watford attacker Gerard Deulofeu after taking time to look at the decision.
Chelsea boss Frank Lampard had strong views on the technology and how it has been used this season.
