Chelsea news: Huge injury blow, Champions League prize money, starting lineup for Blades clash

It's the weekend and it's matchday for Chelsea.

The Blues take on newly-promoted Sheffield United at Stamford Bridge - the second week in a row that Frank Lampard's side have taken on a team from the Championship last season.

Lampard will want his team to build on that first three points of the season last weekend.

There has also been the Champions League draw this week, with the Blues handed a tough-looking group.

Here we round up the biggest news stories from the past 24 hours in one bitesize place.

Champions League money

There are plenty of benefits to being in the Champions League.

The prize money on offer is high among those benefits.

And having spent a year out of the competition the Blues are back in it this year.

The draw was made for the groups stages on Thursday, with Chelsea drawn against Ajax, Valencia and Lille.

The midfield duo are clearly not part of Frank Lampard's plans, but time is running out for them to move on this summer.

Injury blow

Frank Lampard will be hoping to build on his first win as a Premier League boss at the weekend.

After victory over Norwich City, the Blues take on another promoted side in the form of Sheffield United.

But they will do so without three key players, due to injury.

Chalobah's hopes

Trevoh Chalobah is highly regarded at Stamford Bridge.

The youngster is on loan at Huddersfield Town for the season, and has earned his first call-up to the England U21s squad this week.

He believes he has a big future head of him and has been speaking about the expectations Frank Lampard has put on him and his hopes and dreams for the seaso and his career as a whole.
