Chelsea news: Hoddle's Abraham theory, Lampard's Pulisic comments, what the Blues fans want

It was another night to remember for Chelsea in Europe as they recorded a 1-0 victory against Ajax in Amsterdam last night (Wednesday).

Michy Batshuayi came off the bench to net the only goal of the game to give the Blues a second away win in the Champions League this season, lifting them above their opponents in the Group H table.

Frank Lampard was understandably pleased with his players after the win in Amsterdam, with a few individuals receiving particular praise for their contributions, including Kurt Zouma , Christian Pulisic and .

But attention will soon switch back to the Premier League, with the Blues back in action on Saturday evening against Burnley at Turf Moor.

Before that, we take a look at the latest Chelsea news below, including all the fallout from the win in Holland.

How Tammy Abraham celebrated Michy Batshuayi's winner

Having been replaced by Michy Batshuayi, it would have been easy for Tammy Abraham to be feeling down after seeing the substitute net the winner.

But Abraham couldn't have been happier for Batshuayi at the final whistle.

The striker ran over to his teammate at full-time and gave him a big hug, congratulating him on the late impact.

Furthermore, what will please Chelsea fans is that Abraham was the first player to celebrate with Batshuayi.

Talk about a great spirit within the squad.

Meanwhile, former Chelsea boss Glenn Hoddle has claimed that Batshuayi's goal could actually be a blessing in disguise for Abraham and could benefit him in the long run.

"He (Batshuayi) has played his way into the team. The manager can rely on him. It could be a good thing for (Tammy) Abraham too. He wouldn't have wanted to come off but he knows now that he has to be on his game," Hoddle told BT Sport.

Frank Lampard's 'blueprint'

Frank Lampard was full of praise for his team after the win at Ajax.

But while he hailed the overall team performance, he singled out one Chelsea star who wowed him with his display on the night.

"I think we are entitled to be happy tonight with the way we played," he said.

"It is a bit of a blueprint for us in terms of the way we played. The work of the midfield players was excellent.

"The work of the wingers, the work of the full backs getting out to players, top, top players, and stopping them from making passes and easy decisions was outstanding. I could go through them all.

"Kurt Zouma, wow, what a performance.

"That is the blueprint. No excuses now to dip from that."

The fans' message on Christian Pulisic

There is no doubt that Christian Pulisic is doing his best to force his way into the Chelsea starting line-up.

After making an impact off the bench in his last two appearances, the American did so again against Ajax, with his third assist in as many games.

Speaking after the game, Lampard hailed Pulisic's contribution off the bench as "outstanding", while he also spoke about what has impressed him about the 21-year-old.

"You have to give Christian huge credit," he said, speaking in his post-match press conference .

"I have got belief in the players. It is tough to leave people out.

"The performance tonight and the last couple off the bench might show that. I didn’t listen to the outside talk. I understood the quality of Christian, he is just 21. I have options.

"Christian wants to know what is going on always. I have stayed calm with it. He wants to do well. Training like he has makes me very happy."

And Lampard was not the only one singing the praises of the American international, with many Chelsea fans waxing lyrical about Pulisic, with a clear message for the Blues' head coach.

Here's what they have been saying about Pulisic .
