Chelsea news: Hazard exit confirmed, Europa League joy, defender open to loan, Sarri to Juventus

Chelsea's 2018/2019 campaign has concluded.

The last game of what has been a long first - and possibly last - season in charge for Maurizio Sarri took place in the Europa League final against London rivals Arsenal in Baku, Azerbaijan.

Having finished third in the Premier League, the Blues had the comfort of knowing they would be back in the Champions League next season, prior to kick-off last night.

Now the focus can be on this summer's activity on and off the pitch.

Even with FIFA's ruling in regards to a two-transfer window ban it hasn't stopped the Blues being linked with new signings as well as some potential departures.

We've gathered all the latest news from around Stamford Bridge, take a look below...

Eden Hazard confirms exit

Eden Hazard has confirmed he expects to leave Chelsea in the summer transfer market, amidst continued speculation that a move to Real Madrid is imminent.

The Belgium international has not hidden his admiration for Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane, his childhood hero, and it has been widely suspected he would leave this summer.

After netting two goals in the Europa League final against Arsenal, Hazard confirmed that he expects the match was his 'goodbye' to the Blues and the supporters at Stamford Bridge.

Europa League success

Chelsea produced an impressive second half display to lift the Europa League trophy on Wednesday night.

After a goalless first half, Olivier Giroud, Pedro and two from Hazard secured a 4-1 win over Arsenal in Baku.

It was a superb second half and a perfect way to say farewell to Hazard.

Sarri to Juventus

Despite guiding the Blues to third place in the Premier League and to the finals of the Europa League and the Carabao Cup, speculation surrounding  Sarri's  future in west London remains even though he was only appointed last summer.

Developments at Juventus in the past week could have an affect on the Italian in the coming weeks.

The Serie A champions are on the lookout for a replacement for Massimiliano Allegri following his decision to step down at the end of the season and Sarri's name has been mentioned as his successor.

Ahead of last night's final, images emerged of Juventus president Andrea Agnelli in Azerbaijan, even staying in the same hotel as the Blues.

Furthermore, a picture published by TuttoSport shows Agnelli sitting down with Chelsea chairman Bruce Buck - and Sarri’s future may have been a topic of conversation for the pair.

Napoli fans warn Sarri

Napoli fans have sent a clear message to their former manager Maurizio Sarri

And it's quite simple - don't join Juventus.

Sarri joined Chelsea from Napoli last summer after three seasons at the helm in which he guided them to three consecutive top three finishes in Serie A, finishing just four points behind rivals Juventus in his final season in charge.

But all the talk of the Italian replacing Allegri hasn't gone down too well amongst Napoli fans.

A banner outside of the manager's home in Tuscany, nearly 500KM away from Naples reads: "Boss, don’t betray your people. Naples loves you."

Chelsea transfer news

Fikayo Tomori is open to returning to Derby County next season despite the Rams' failure to gain promotion to the Premier League.

"Of course," the 21-year-old told BBC East Midlands Sport, when asked if would think about a second stint at Pride Park. "I have loved it. I grew so much as a player. Derby is such a great club.

"The manager has shown me a lot of confidence playing me in a lot of games. I have nothing but good words to say about Derby, the club, the fans and my team-mates.

"I am really proud. We are disappointed and we are hurting, but we had such a fantastic season. Even though we lost, we still had a lot of good moments to look back on and cherish.

"I am not really thinking about Chelsea at the moment but we will see when the new season comes."
