Graham Potter has been officially confirmed as Chelsea's new head coach - and the former Brighton chief has plenty to get stuck into following Thomas Tuchel's shock departure earlier this week.
Blues co-owner Todd Boehly moved swiftly to prise Potter away from the Seagulls in the hours after Tuchel was given his marching orders. And the former Swansea City and Ostersunds FK coach, who has been described as an "innovator" by co-owner Behdad Eghbali, has penned a bumper five-year deal to take charge in west London.
Now that the Blues have confirmed their new head coach, all eyes are on Potter to see whether the highly-rated 47-year-old can work his magic away from the AMEX Stadium in his new high-profile role. Here, Mirror Football takes a look at all the latest news from in and around Stamford Bridge...
Potter leads director search
Potter is poised to lead Chelsea's ongoing search for a new sporting director now that he has been confirmed as the club's new head coach.
The Blues have been searching for an elite candidate capable of filling the role that Boehly has filled on an interim basis for months now, but are seemingly no closer to making an appointment. However, Potter's arrival means the club will step up their efforts to fill the role before the Premier League pauses for the World Cup in November.
And according to a new report, Potter, who thrived under a similar structure at Brighton, will be heavily consulted in the search and will have a big say in who is eventually handed the role.

The extent of the disconnect between Tuchel and the Chelsea squad prior to his sacking has been outlined by a new report less than 24 hours after his Stamford Bridge exit.
The German, who was often passionate in the dugout, had irked some Chelsea players - so much so that it has been claimed that some members of the squad did not like playing on the same side of the pitch as the dugouts.
Others had also grown tired of Tuchel's 'constant barking and moaning' and were not happy with his negative reactions to them failing to get back and cover defensively or failing to take a chance.
Mourinho influence emerges

Jose Mourinho made a huge impact during his two managerial stints at Stamford Bridge - and the former Chelsea chief has also played a key role in their new head coach's career.
Potter's stock has risen rapidly since he arrived in England, but he originally made his name in Sweden during his role in charge of Ostersunds FK.
And during the early years of his coaching career, Potter had the chance to view Mourinho working first-hand at Real Madrid - and the former Brighton chief has outlined just how big a fan he was of the former Chelsea favourite, who currently bosses AS Roma.
