Chelsea news: Frank Lampard urges striker to force his way into team, N'Golo Kante injury news

It is sure to be an interesting few weeks for Frank Lampard.

The Chelsea boss is not under pressure, yet, but just one point from two games was not how he wanted to start the season.

Time will tell whether or not the Blues legend comes under pressure as Chelsea boss or not, but he will be hoping a game with Norwich will alleviate any pressure.

He has some decisions to make, while there are still transfers going on around him.

Here are the latest Chelsea stories from the last 24 hours.

And the Chelsea boss has urged the striker to seize his opportunity and force his way into the starting XI.

Here's what he needs to do to make it.

Kante's injury status

The Blues face what could be a tricky trip to Norwich on Saturday lunch time, and Frank Lampard has given an update on N'Golo Kante's troublesome injury problems.

He was not exactly committal on the French midfielder for Saturday, but he did state that Antonio Rudiger would not be featuring at Carrow Road.

Azpilicueta backs James for the future

Chelsea captain Cesar Azpilicueta is full of praise for defender Reece James, who will be his direct competition at right-back when he returns from injury.

"When he came he was already used to the way we play. After he arrived, I was playing as a centre back so he was training on the right next to me," Azpilicueta said.

"It was easy for me to get close to him and help him with the movements and to get used to the way we play.

"I am here to help everybody and he is an amazing kid. He has a very good mentality. No one has any doubts about his talent on the pitch and hopefully he can be a very important player."

Here's everything he had to say on Chelsea's exciting prospect .
