Chelsea news: Frank Lampard's Moussa Dembele update, Giroud terms 'agreed', transfer blocked

The January transfer window has been open for 10 day now, but Chelsea are yet to sign any players.

The Blues are able to bring in new signings this month, after the club's transfer ban was reduced following an appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport.

Giroud 'terms agreed'

Sky Italia have stated that Olivier Giroud has agreed terms on a two-and-a-half-year deal in Milan, and now all that remains is for the two clubs to agree terms on a deal.

"Said it after the last game, if it’s right for everybody, [Giroud can leave]," Lampard told reporters. "First that’s us, then we will look at it. He has been a great professional here. I hold him in a lot of respect.

"Everyone is talking about it, his agent has spoken to the club. But it’s not done. It’s not necessarily about getting someone in first."

Moussa Dembele update

Frank Lampard has given an update on Chelsea's January transfer plans amid rumours of a move for Lyon striker Moussa Dembele.

The former Fulham and Celtic star has been linked with a move away from Ligue 1, with Chelsea said to be the main club chasing him - although Spurs have also reportedly become interested since learning of the severity of Harry Kane's hamstring injury.
