Chelsea news: Confusion over £8m deal, Hazard urged to join Real Madrid, massive injury blow

Chelsea's season could be over in 11 days or at the end of the month.

The Premier League campaign concludes on May 12 with the Blues facing a tough trip to Leicester City where Maurizio Sarri's side will be hopeful of confirming a return to the Champions League following a one-year absence.

Whether or not they seal a top four finish, there is the small matter of a Europa League final taking place in Baku, Azerbaijan on May 29 and that is another chance to get back amongst Europe's elite.

With an appeal over a two-transfer window still pending, there's some uncertainty around the club at the moment.

Although that hasn't stopped the Blues being linked with new signings as well as some potential departures in the coming months.

We've gathered all the latest news from around Stamford Bridge, take a look below...

Aina's future

The two-transfer window ban which is currently hanging over Chelsea's head could impact their summer transfer plans.

The right-back position could be something of a concern for Maurizio Sarri if the Blues are not able to delay their two-transfer window ban and have been linked with Napoli defender Elseid Hysaj for the past two windows.

But a solution that would save the club some money regardless would be to promote Aina or hand a chance to Reece James.

Aina has been on loan at Torino this season and recent report have claimed that deal will become permanent for £8m in the summer.

However, Evening Standard claim the Blues are now having seconds thoughts about selling the 22-year-old and are planning to include him in their Premier League squad for next season.

Hazard advice

One person who is being urged to leave Stamford Bridge is none other than Eden Hazard, by a former Chelsea player and manager in Glenn Hoddle nonetheless.

"I think Chelsea will get into the Champions League, whether Hazard will be there with them" he said . "I feel it might be the right time for him personally, not for Chelsea or the Premier League, but for him to go to Real Madrid if that offer is there on the table for him.

"He deserves to play in that team. They’ve got a re-build going on as well.

"I personally would love to see him play in the Premier League but I’ve got a feeling he might move.

"Chelsea, at the moment, there’s something missing but without Hazard in the team and all the hope [goes]."

Injury blow

Antonio Rudiger is set to undergo surgery to fix the knee injury the picked up in the 1-1 draw with Manchester United at Old Trafford.

He will undergo the operation in Rome, according to Gianluca Di Marzio , with the procedure focusing on the meniscus of his left knee.

The German international was helped off the pitch in the second half and is now set to miss the rest of the season as a result.

Chelsea fans and head coach Maurizio Sarri can expect to see the 26-year-old back in action during pre-season as that is the likely aim for a return from this injury setback.

Sarri's future

Despite being fourth and in the Europa League semi-final, there's still speculation in regards to the future of Maurizio Sarri as head coach.

He only succeeded compatriot Antonio Conte last summer but has been under pressure for much of the season amid some mixed results.

The latest rumour, according to reports in Italy , is that Sarri has been identified as a successor to Gennaro Gattuso at AC Milan.

It wasn't too long ago when the Italian was being linked with a managerial role at AS Roma, but he appeared to quash talk of a return to Serie A for next season when speaking after the Blues' win over Malmo a couple of months ago.

"Of course no, because I have a contract with Chelsea for next season so it is impossible," he told BT Sport .
