Chelsea news: Cesar Azpilicueta's warning to Spurs and Man Utd, fans' Jadon Sancho demand

Chelsea are among a number of Premier League clubs enjoying a mid-season break ahead of the final part of the 2019/20 season.

The break is the first time that the league has taken the decision to give players and fans a rest after what has been a busy festive period and start to 2020.

Chelsea may be grateful for the extra preparation time, especially given that they face three crucial home games when they return to action.

Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur and Bayern Munich all visit Stamford Bridge in both the league and Champions League over the next two weeks, and it is three games that could define the Blues' season as they look to hold onto a top four place.

As preparations continue, here is the latest news from Stamford Bridge.

FA Cup ticket decision

Chelsea have made the decision not to raise ticket prices for the club's FA Cup fifth round fixture against Liverpool next month, meaning that tickets will now be priced at £30.

Originally, a 35% hike on prices for the games was going to be put in place, but that came under criticism from the club's Supporter's trust, who released a statement on the issue.

"There is no past precedence when the club have increased FA Cup ticket prices from the figure that was outlined in the clubs ticket policy at the start of the season," the trust had said in a statement published on its website.

"The CST is once again dismayed by the continued disregard shown towards match-going supporters, who have been subjected to expensive and challenging travel arrangements throughout this season."

The statement has caused the club to rethink their decision and scrap the price rise.

Azpilicueta's warning to Spurs and Man Utd

Chelsea captain Cesar Azpilicueta has sent a warning to Tottenham and Manchester United ahead of Chelsea's three crucial home games over the next few weeks.

Frank Lampard's men face Man united at Stamford Bridge after the winter break, before welcoming rivals Spurs to their home just a week later. That game comes just a few days before the round of 16 Champions League home leg against Bayern Munich.

The Blues have struggled to find consistency at home this season, but Azpilicueta has warned Chelsea's opponents that that could change.

Fans' Sancho demand

There may have not been any new additions to the squad during the January transfer window, but that doesn't stop speculation over who could be arriving at Stamford Bridge during the summer months.

One of the names that has been heavily linked with a summer move to Chelsea is Borussia Dortmund man Jadon Sancho, who was in action for the German team on Saturday evening.

It seems that the England international's performance impressed Chelsea fans, so much so that they had a demand for Roman Abramovic.

They took to Twitter to voice their thoughts here is what they had to say.
