Chelsea news: Bakayoko discusses his future, Lampard's prediction, wonderkid in training

It is all systems go at Chelsea now.

The team are back in pre-season training and that is taking place in Ireland, with the players and new boss Frank Lamaprd in Dublin for a pre-season tour.

They play their first game of the Lampard era on Wednesday night.

Here we round up all the latest Blues news ahead of that first contest.

Lampard's prediction

Frank Lampard is getting ready to embark on his first season as a Premier League boss.

All eyes will be on how he lines up his team, the players that he decides to give a chance to in pre-season ahead of the opening fixture of the new season against Manchester United.

Chelsea are unable to sign players this summer, with a two-window transfer embargo upon them that it appears unlikely to be overturned.

Lampard and his new assistant Jody Morris know only too well the talent at their disposal from the academy, with Morris in particular having worked with the U18s at Cobham for two years before going off to Derby.

And the Blues boss made a prediction in March that shows why he got the job.

Bakayoko on his future

Where will Tiemoue Bakayoko end up next season?

The midfielder struggled to adapt to life in the Premier League and was sent out on loan to AC Milan last season.

He is back with the Blues squad for pre-season training with new boss Frank Lampard, but will he be part of the Blues legend's plans?

Manchester United and Arsenal have both been linked with a shock move for him.

Here's what the midfield man has had to say about his future.

Wonderkid on Lampard

What's a Frank Lampard pre-season training session like?

Well one of the young lads has given an insight.

Billy Gilmour is one of the hottest prospects in the Blues academy right now and the central midfielder has also already featured for the Scotland U21s side, even though he was only 16 at the time.

Under Maurizio Sarri, he even got to train with the first team on occassions, and then was called up by Frank Lampard to join the pre-season training camp in Dublin this week.

Here's what he's said about training with the first team.
