Chelsea news: £17m deal gives Frank Lampard transfer boost, Jorginho message, Rudiger rages

Chelsea came back from a goal down to beat Arsenal 2-1 as Frank Lampard's side inflicted Mikel Arteta's first defeat as Gunners head coach.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's first half header had given Arsenal the lead, an advantage the north London side held until the last 10 minutes of the game.

But goals from Jorginho and Tammy Abraham ensured the Blues bounced back in style from their shock Boxing Day defeat to Southampton.

Jorginho on sending off

Jorginho believes referee Craig Pawson made the right call in not showing him a second yellow card against Arsenal.

The Chelsea midfielder hauled down Matteo Guendouzi in the middle of pitch, and although Pawson awarded the Gunners a free-kick, he opted against given the former Napoli man his marching orders.

Arsenal’s players were left incensed by the decision with Alexander Lacazette receiving a booking for his reaction to the call.

And then things were made even worse for Mikel Arteta’s side when Jorginho scored Chelsea’s equaliser at the Emirates.

Antonio Rudiger fumes at Kepa

Chelsea supporters will have been delighted with the fight shown by their players, none more so than defender Antonio Rudiger, who was spotted having a confrontation with Kepa Arrizabalaga towards the end of the game.

Borussia Dortmund could now be set to cash in on Jadon Sancho after securing Erling Haaland.

Dortmund, who confirmed the capture of  Haaland for a relative snip at £17.1m on Sunday afternoon, beat United and Juventus to the forward’s signature.

And now according to the BBC , the German outfit are set to change their transfer stance on the England international placing the Blues on alert.
