Chelsea must address second-half woes to crown 'beautiful' season with Europa League title, says N'Golo Kante

N’Golo Kante admits Chelsea must address their second-half concentration issues, but says the Blues will still have a “beautiful” season if they win the Europa League in what has been an inconsistent campaign.

Chelsea progressed to the semi-finals of the competition with a 4-3 (5-3 aggregate) win over Slavia Prague on Thursday night - although the Blues didn’t make life easy for themselves.

The game followed a similar pattern to recent away losses at Everton and Liverpool. Chelsea were dominant in the first half against Slavia Prague but shipped two goals in three second-half minutes to set up a nervy finish.

The Blues now face a semi-final showdown with Eintracht Frankfurt.

Maurizio Sarri admitted after the win over Slavia Prague that Chelsea have a “big problem” with their mentality after half-time breaks - something which Kante said the team must address.

The midfielder also said winning the Europa League, which would earn Chelsea qualification to next season’s Champion League, will ensure this season ends in “beautiful” fashion for the Blues.

Watch the video above to see Kante analyse Chelsea's win over Slavia Prague and talk about the club's chances of winning the Europa League this season.
