AC Milan appear to have finally made their decision on Fikayo Tomori.
The Chelsea centre-back made the loan switch to Italy during the January transfer window having failed to prove himself as a Chelse starter in the first half of the season.
Things might have been different had Tomori stuck around a few more days to see the Thomas Tuchel appointment, but it wasn't to be, and the defender went on to impress in red and black.
The 23-year-old made 17 appearances for AC Milan and impressed his temporary employers as they fell short of a Serie A title, rivals Inter instead taking the crown.
As part of the loan deal, AC Milan have an option to buy Fikayo for a price of £24million, and there has been much speculation over whether the Italian club will pull the trigger.
Reports emerged last week that they wanted the centre-back for even cheaper, but according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, AC Milan will indeed make Tomori's move permanent, and with a five-year contract.
Tomori has been with Chelsea since under-eight level, but he now looks set to move on, and for good after four loan spells in all, including the time at Milan this season.
And the defender is not the only one moving on to pastures new, according to Romano, who says Emerson Palmieri, Davide Zappacosta and Tiemoue Bakayoko will all be moved on, as expected.
Emerson had reportedly attracted interest from Inter Milan in recent weeks, but fresh reports now claim they will look elsewhere for a cheaper option with the Blues said to be demanding £17million for his services.
Zappacosta and Bakayoko have seen very little action since their respective arrivals, both spending this season out on loan, and their departures will come as no surprise.
