Chelsea most likely Champions League round of 16 opponents revealed

The most likely next opponents of Chelsea's UEFA Champions League campaign have been revealed in a simulator and it has drawn up a difficult test for Graham Potter's men.

Chelsea topped their group including AC Milan, Red Bull Salzburg and Dinamo Zagreb with four wins and a draw fro their six matches. Their only defeat came in Thomas Tuchel's final game in charge at Zagreb before Potter won four of his five games in the competition.

Last night, Chelsea concluded their round of fixtures in Group E with a 2-1 win over Zagreb thanks to goals from Raheem Sterling and Denis Zakaria. They will find out their next opponents in the round of 16 draw, which takes place on Monday, November 7, with the draw taking place at 11am.

As supporters' excitement grows ahead of the draw for the knockout stages, a simulator online has revealed the probability of Chelsea's next opponents. Potter's side will either face Club Brugge, Inter Milan, Eintracht Frankfurt, Red Bull Leipzig, Borussia Dortmund or PSG in the next round.

And according to the simulator, the Blues' most likely opponents are Italian giants Inter in the next round of the competition. Should the two sides meet, it will be the first time since the 2010 last 16 meeting. Jose Mourinho's return to Stamford Bridge ended in triumph with a 1-0 win following a 2-1 win at the San Siro.

According to the simulator, Inter are 19.08% likely to be drawn against Chelsea. Behind them comes Frankfurt and Dortmund at 17.95%, with Leipzig at 17.23%. The two least likely opponents are Brugge and, fortunately for Chelsea supporters, PSG at 13.90%.

The draw would see Potter take his side to the San Siro for a second time this season following their 2-0 win over AC Milan in October thanks to first half goals from Jorginho and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
