Chelsea morning headlines as N'Golo Kante claim is made and eight players with a point to prove

Here are your Chelsea morning headlines for Tuesday, 13 October.

Kante wants to leave Chelsea after fall out with Lampard

N’Golo Kante is unhappy at Chelsea and wants to play for Real Madrid, according to a report in Le Parisien.

The French outlet claim a fallout between the midfielder and manager Frank Lampard is the reason behind his intention to leave.

The Blues boss reportedly refused to allow Kante to miss training to attend a friend’s wedding.

That angered Kante, who had been the subject of interest from Inter during the summer.

The 29-year-old is said to be seeking out an exit within the next 12 months, and his aim is to join Real Madrid.

The players with a point to prove at Chelsea

Chelsea had a busy summer, making several high-profile signings as Frank Lampard’s squad was significantly upgraded.

There were outgoings too, with fringe players like Tiemoue Bakayoko and Ross Barkley leaving the club on loan.

But there are still some players who were either unable to force through a move or remain on the periphery in Lampard’s squad.

We took a look at those with a point to prove ahead of the return to Premier League action this weekend.

Moses has deadline of Saturday to leave on loan after medical delays

Victor Moses’ loan move to Spartak Moscow has been hindered by a delayed medical.

The Chelsea outcast should still leave by Saturday’s deadline, though, having made a verbal agreement with the Russian club.

The 29-year-old spent last season on loan at Inter, but the Serie A club did not take up their option to buy.

Frank Lampard confirmed last month that Moses is not in his plans for the season.

“We have a bubble at the training ground with the first-team squad, which Victor hasn’t been part of,” said the Chelsea boss. “I know Victor well and we will see how that develops.”
