Chelsea morning headlines as Marina Granovskaia could receive transfer windfall, Roma ready bid

Here are your Chelsea morning headlines on Tuesday, May 26.

Chelsea could receive surprise windfall from Boga deal

Chelsea have opted not to exercise their buyback option on Jeremie Boga this summer.

According to the Guardian, the Blues have decided instead to negotiate a sell-on clause with Sassuolo, whom the Ivorian joined in 2018.

The 23-year-old winger is attracting interest from Napoli after scoring eight goals and adding four assists for Sassuolo this season.

Boga, whose sole Chelsea appearance came in August 2017, had loan spells with Rennes, Granada and Birmingham City before making the switch to Italy.

Jorginho open to offers from ‘important clubs’ - agent

Jorginho’s agent has claimed the Chelsea midfielder could be receptive to bids from “important clubs” this summer.

The 28-year-old, who has three years left on his contract at Stamford Bridge, has been a key figure under Frank Lampard this season.

However, his agent Joao Santos has refused to rule out a move away from the Blues amid speculation surrounding a possible reunion with Maurizio Sarri at Juventus.

“I don’t know if Juventus want Jorginho, who still has a three-year contract at Chelsea. We’ll see,” Santos told TuttoMerrcatoWeb .

“He’s a professional, so if an important team gives him a call, well, why not?”

Chelsea braced for Pedro bid from Roma

Roma have emerged as frontrunners to sign Chelsea winger Pedro this summer.

According to the Express, Roma are one of several clubs interested in the 32-year-old, who is expected to leave Stamford Bridge when his contract expires at the end of June.

Roma boss Paulo Fonseca is keen to add Pedro to his squad with the former Barcelona star having managed only eight Premier League starts under Lampard this term.

Pedro, who has won the Premier League, FA Cup and Europa League in five years at Chelsea, is also attracting interest from Real Betis and several MLS clubs.
