Chelsea midfielder drops cryptic hint over potential exit on social media

Danny Drinkwater has confirmed that he doesn't have a future at Chelsea next season.

The 30-year-old has had a tumultuous time at Stamford Bridge, having failed to make a real impact with the Blues.

After one season under Antonio Conte, the midfielder didn't feature with Maurizio Sarri in charge of the club.

Last season, Drinkwater had two disappointing loan spells at Burnley and Aston Villa, before returning to Chelsea in the summer.

However, while the Premier League winner has been back at Cobham and doing pre-season with the Development Squad, Drinkwater isn't part of Frank Lampard's plans for the future.

And the former England international confirmed on social media that he is hoping for a move away for the upcoming campaign.

Unfortunately for the midfielder, Drinkwater does not have a lot of suitors to take him, with high wages and two years left on his current contract.

Drinkwater will be looking for a loan move and the Blues will be hoping to find a club to take him in the coming weeks.
