Chelsea may face a rematch with Bayern Munich in next season's Champions League with the Blues currently in pot two for the group stage draw.
The Blues booked their place in next season's competition via the Premier League but their season came to an end with a heavy defeat to Bayern Munich in the round of 16 at the weekend.
Yet an early-season rematch would be on the cards due to both sides' coefficient, which is used by UEFA to determine the rankings of clubs in their competitions.
During the course of a season, a club is given ranking points for reaching various points in European competitions and for winning or drawing games.
It allows UEFA to work out a coefficient over a rolling five-year period, meaning the better a club does, the higher they are ranked.
That process is then used to work out seedings for various draws in competitions.
For Chelsea, it means they currently sit in pot two for next season's Champions League group stage.
This website offers a guide to coefficients and seedings, whilst also showing that 25 teams have so far booked their place in next season's Champions League.
Whilst there are still some spots up for grabs in the group stage, it means Chelsea have a rough idea about who they can potentially face next season.
The draw for the group stage will take place on October 1, with matches getting underway on October 20.
So here is a brief outline for who the Blues could well face as it stands - with RB Leipzig and Inter Milan still in European competition, things are still subject to change.
