Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel tries his hand at hurling as Blues arrive at Carton House

Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has had a successful coaching career, and he recently won the hearts of Blues fans after Champions League glory came at the end of last season.

Chelsea are in an improving state with him at the helm and some say they might seriously challenge for the Premier League title next year.

However, as the Chelsea squad arrived at Carton House as part of their pre-season training, Tuchel appeared to be more concerned with improving his hurling touch.

While the video doesn't feature him striking the sliotar, he does put up a sharp left hand to catch it as it is thrown to him.

There is a wall in front of him that he seems to eye up, and every hurler in the country knows how valuable a wall is in improving the basic skills.

The European champions will play a behind-closed-doors friendly against Drogheda United during their time here, and so Tuchel will have more time to get his eye in with the hurl and sliotar during their stay.

He will be hoping some of his squad will sacrifice a few holes at the Carton House Golf Club to stay back and have a puck around.
