Chelsea make transfer decision to threaten Man United as Ben Chilwell sends Luke Shaw message

Here is your Chelsea morning digest for Friday, July 9.

Chelsea ready to move for Camavinga

Chelsea have reportedly joined the race to sign Rennes midfielder Eduardo Camavinga, who has looked certain of a switch to Manchester United this summer.

The Frenchman only has one year left on his contract and the Ligue 1 side are looking to cash in this summer on the 18-year-old.

Some reports have suggested that a deal is all but done to take Camavinga to Old Trafford. However, Rennes have so far refuted those claims.

But now French outlet Le Parisien claims that Chelsea will provide competition in the race for Camavinga’s signature. Indeed, they are reported to have made direct contact with Rennes.

Chilwell sends message to Shaw

The England duo have been battling over the one left-back starting place in Gareth Southgate's Euro 2020 team.

Shaw has started five out of the six games so far, while Chilwell hasn't featured a single minute up to this point.

With the disappointment the 24-year-old must be feeling in not featuring in the tournament, it was nice to see that he was still feeling supportive of his English teammate in Shaw's latest Instagram post.

Mount surprises young fan

England and Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount was spotted giving his shirt to a young fan after the Three Lions defeated Denmark 2-1 (AET) in the Euro 2020 semi-final.

It all happened at the end of the match, once the players went on their honorary lap of appreciation to say thank you to the fans after the game.

Mount was filmed giving his shirt to a young girl who burst into happy tears once she received his match worn shirt.
