Chelsea reportedly held a game at Cobham on Sunday, intending to give new signing Marc Cucurella minutes to gain fitness under the watch of Thomas Tuchel.
According to Chelsea365, the 25-year-old was involved with the players who were not heavily involved at Goodison Park. They also included Hakim Ziyech, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Conor Gallagher, two of whom came off the bench with Cucurella.
The Spaniard finalised his move from Brighton on Friday but was registered in time to take part in a final training session before being named in Tuchel's matchday squad on Merseyside. Replacing Ben Chilwell at left wingback, the new man showed flashes of why the club had parted with £62m for his services.

Cucurella is expected to play an important role this season. Tuchel targeted him for his versatility to play as a wing-back but also on the left of a back-three, which he did for Brighton against Chelsea last season.
"I'm very excited about what he can bring," Tuchel said after Cucurella's signing on Friday. "He is a fantastic player, a very intelligent player, who is very strong on the ball, aggressive off the ball, mobile, hungry, with a good attitude. So I'm very, very happy that he joins us."
Cucurella could make his first Chelsea start next weekend at Stamford Bridge when Tuchel's men face Spurs.
