Chelsea loan latest as two transfer plans become clear during World Cup break and Ampadu shines

Nathan Baxter - The Hull City loanee's season has been paused as the Championship breaks for the start of the World Cup.

Lucas Bergstrom - The goalkeeper first kept a clean sheet as Peterborough defeated Salford City 3-0 in the FA Cup but could not prevent his side's 1-0 defeat to Bristol Rovers. He next could face the Blues under-21 side in the Papa Johns Trophy and has spoken about his time away from the club so far.

He said: "I'm good and doing well. It obviously helps that I'm playing games every week, and that is the best way to settle into a new club. There is not that much training, but that's how it is in this league.

"There's a lot of focus on recovery because before you know it, you need to play another match, so you have to be prepared."

The goalkeeper also spoke about his ambitions. He added: "I don't shy away from the fact that I want to play at the highest level, however, I appreciate the moment, and I take each game as it comes. Right now, I am at Peterborough, and I want to do my best for them and help in the promotion push.

'The manager here [Grant McCann] has been very helpful with his advice, and I am learning every day. My goals and aspirations will always be there, but I am focused on the next game.'

Jamie Cumming - Had to make some impressive saves but could not prevent MK Dons from losing 3-1 against Barnsley.

Ethan Wady - Was absent from Woking's most recent squad, having been on the bench for the Cardinals FA Cup defeat to Oxford United.

Malang Sarr - Monaco are taking a break from action due to the World Cup, and Ligue 1 action returns on December 27th.

Ethan Ampadu - The Wales international featured in his first World Cup match and put in an impressive performance as his side drew 1-1 with the USA. The Spezia loanee was substituted late in the game after he appeared to struggle following a strong tackle he won.

Levi Colwill - The young defender's season is on pause as the Premier League takes its break. However, some quotes emerged from the Brighton loanee, who plans to spend time with his family before football returns.

He told Sussex Live: "I am trying to give them [the coaching staff] a selection problem, that's what every player wants to do. They want all their players to want to play. Every time I get a chance, I need to try and take it with two hands and keep working hard."

"It's been tough, but I've enjoyed every minute," Colwill added. "He [De Zerbi] gave me my chance today (Sunday) which I am grateful for," he said. "Learning new playing styles, a new manager coming in, things like that.

"But it's going to help me in the future, so I can't complain. Once you get your head around it [De Zerbi's style], it helps a lot more because it helps you understand why he does it and how it works. You've got to respect it."

Henry Lawrence - Saw a 3-1 defeat for MK Dons and picked up a yellow card in the process.

Ian Maatsen - The Burnley loanee's season has been paused as the Championship breaks for the start of the World Cup.

Sam McClelland - The Barrow loanee remains out injured.

Baba Rahman - Having been named in Ghana's World Cup squad

Dujon Sterling - Missed Stoke's two matches this week after picking up a knock. He should be back for the next fixture in a few weeks.

Tino Anjorin - The midfielder on loan at Huddersfield has an opportunity to continue his recovery from illness as the Championship takes its break.

Tiemoue Bakayoko - With Serie A taking its break for the World Cup, Bakayoko's AC Milan future has once again come under scrutiny. The midfielder has featured on the Italian side's bench most of this season, but he is yet to feature as Milan look to avoid activating an obligation to buy the player. The former Monaco man was rumoured to depart during the summer in search of another move to no success, but it appears there is little willingness from Stefano Pioli to commit Bakayoko's future to Milan.

Xavier Simons and Harvey Vale - The Hull City loanees' season has been paused as the Championship breaks for the start of the World Cup. The duo could be set to feature for the club's under-21 side during this period however.

Romelu Lukaku - The Belgian has headed to the World Cup but was missing from his nation's squad as they lost 2-1 to Egypt.

Callum Hudson-Odoi - With the Bundesliga taking a break, Bayer Leverkusen played a friendly against St Louis II, and Hudson-Odoi recorded a goal and an assist in the fixture. New boss Xabi Alonso made it clear that he plans to keep the winger until the end of the season.

He said: "I want to keep him a lot. I am sure that he will stay until the end of the season."

Bryan Fiabema - The forward missed out on Forest Green action as he was called up for Norway's under-20 side. He appeared as a substitute in a 2-1 defeat to Germany.

Jayden Wareham - The forward remained on the bench as Leyton Orient beat Stockport 2-1
