The transfer window for Premier League teams is now open, with clubs expected to bolster their options for the second part of the campaign.

After a busy run of games over the Christmas and new year period, attention now turns to the January transfer window, with clubs now able to sign players.

Despite the hectic festive schedule, transfer rumours are as abundant as ever as clubs brace themselves for the month of business ahead.

Madrid 'make contact' with Mane 

Real Madrid have reportedly made contact with representatives of Sadio Mane as they look to lure the forward to the Bernabeu. 

The Senegalese international has developed into one of the global game’s most potent attackers under Jurgen Klopp. 

And now French outlet Le10Sport say that Real have contacted Mane’s representatives to sound them out over a potential move.

City and Chelsea keen on Chilwell

Manchester City and Chelsea are both chasing Leicester’s Ben Chilwell, reports iNews .

The Foxes have no plans to sell the full-back, but could be tempted by a bid within the region of £70million.

Both Pep Guardiola and Frank Lampard are believed to be keen on bolstering their backlines this month. 

Spurs target Pereira

Tottenham are planning to fix their right-back problems this month, according to the Express .

Spurs boss Jose Mourinho is planning to secure the services of Leicester City’s Ricardo Pereira to bolster his side’s backline. 

Pereira has impressed this season and would cost in the region of £30million.

New Everton deal for Calvert-Lewin 

Everton are set to start talks with forward Dominic Calvert-Lewin over a new contract.

The Liverpool ECHO are reporting that the 22-year-old, who has scored three goals in Carlo Ancelotti's first two games, will be rewarded for his impressive form with a new deal. 

There had been recent suggestions that the forward had emerged as a transfer target for Manchester United in January, but the Blues are keen to tie down their striker to a new contract.
