Chelsea join the hunt for former Liverpool star Philippe Coutinho; Manchester United given Paul Pogba transfer boost; Arsenal battle rivals for French starlet

The end of the season is almost upon us and the focus is starting to shift towards the summer transfer window, where plenty of cash is expected to be splashed by clubs in the Premier League.

With the financial pulling power of English football stronger than ever, it is not surprising to see media outlets across the continent reporting a vast amount of interest from Premier League clubs in a host of players.

We’ve gathered some of the latest rumours and gossip from across Europe below, involving a number of big players and huge clubs.

Manchester United’s hopes of retaining the services of Paul Pogba this summer have been boosted as Real Madrid will struggle to match the wage demands of the French World Cup winner, according to AS.

The former Juventus man has been heavily linked with a move to the Spanish capital since Zinedine Zidane returned to the Santiago Bernabeu but any deal would have to involve astronomical numbers, as United do not want to sell.

Chelsea have joined the hunt for Barcelona forward Philippe Coutinho as they seek to find a replacement for the seemingly Madrid-bound Eden Hazard, according to CalcioMercato.

Former Liverpool man Coutinho has struggled to find consistency since moving to Catalonia and has been linked with a return to the Premier League this summer, with Manchester United among those tipped to land his services.

Arsenal, Manchester United and Everton have all been attributed with an interest in the 23-year-old, though Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich are widely considered to be the favourites to land his services.

Chelsea outcast Tiemoue Bakayoko is wanted by AC Milan permanently after impressing during his loan spell at the San Siro, CalcioMercato reports, but they’ll have to pay a hefty price for his signature.

The Blues are looking to earn a fee of around £30m for the former Monaco man, who failed to make a positive impact during his time at Stamford Bridge but has found redemption in Italian football.

Finally, West Ham look set to suffer a blow in their pursuit of forward Roberto Inglese as Parma are keen to sign their Napoli loanee on a permanent basis this summer, CalcioMercato reports.

The 27-year-old was first linked with a move to east London in January and reports suggest the Hammers are keen to reignite their interest this summer, after seeing the forward net eight goals in 24 Serie A appearances.
