Chelsea join Liverpool in striker hunt, Man Utd chase Aubameyang - Premier League rumours

The Premier League season may be on hold as the world battles the coronavirus crisis, but that has not stopped clubs from looking ahead and planning for their summer transfer business.

It remains a mystery as to when the transfer window will open, with clubs keen to know when they can bring fresh faces into clubs and build for next season’s campaign.

And managers, and their recruitment staff, are keeping busy in isolation by planning deals well in advance.

Premier League consider 'World Cup-style camp' to finish season

Here are the latest transfer rumours from across the Premier League.

Koulibaly to Manchester United

Manchester United are said to have been ‘given the green light’ to sign Napoli ace Kalidou Koulibaly, according to the Evening Standard .

And the coronavirus crisis is thought to have driven down his asking price with the Italian giants now demanding £74m for his services, the report says.

That is way down from the £100m reportedly denied numerous times by Napoli in the summer.

The central defender remains one of the most sought after stars in world football.

Chelsea join Liverpool in striker hunt

Frank Lampard’s Chelsea are keen on doing battle with Liverpool this summer for the services of German forward Timo Werner.

That’s according to reports in Germany who believe the RB Leipzig star will have two clubs to choose from when the transfer window opens.

The report also claims that the Stamford Bridge club are interested in Lyon’s Moussa Dembele.

Klopp is said to be planning to meet with Werner in the near future to talk all things Liverpool.

Mane could be open to Madrid move

Senegal star Keita Balde has said that teammate Sadio Mane could be up for a move to join Real Madrid should Liverpool consider letting the forward leave this summer.

He told reporters at AS : “I don't think he wants to be there forever.

“He is a smart boy and he knows what is good for him and what he has to do.”

Mane’s current deal at Anfield is not set to expire until 2023.

“He's a great boy. He deserves the best,” he added.

United in Aubameyang race

Manchester United are now firmly in the race to sign Arsenal striker Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang, according to reports in Spain.

Sport have now credited United with an interest in Aubameyang but say they will have to fight off some of Europe’s biggest clubs to make the transfer a reality.

The move will give Gunners fans nightmares about Robin Van Persie’s switch in 2013 in what could be set to be a repeat of that famous transfer.

Inter Milan, Paris Saint-Germain, Real Madrid and Barcelona are also said to be vying for his signature.
