Joe Cole has said that he senses a “really good era” approaching for Chelsea following their Conference League final win.
Chelsea trailed at half-time to Real Betis as Abde Ezzalzouli deservedly put the LaLiga outfit - chasing their first-ever European title - in front as early as the ninth minute in Wroclaw, Poland.
They held out until just after the hour mark when Cole Palmer turned the game on its head by providing assists for Enzo Fernandez and Nicolas Jackson in the space of five minutes.
The contest was over when Jadon Sancho netted with just under ten minutes remaining, before Moises Caicedo added a fourth just as the clock ticked into stoppage-time.
Victory once again on the European stage means Chelsea have completed the set after previous successes in the Champions League and Europa League.
In addition, a trophy caps off a successful season where Enzo Maresca has guided the side back into the Champions League with a top-four finish in the Premier League.

Reflecting on the campaign, Cole believes something special is on the horizon for his former club.
Speaking to TNT Sports, he said: “The team has developed, it’s grown, there’s been speed bumps in the road and what I’ve been really impressed with is they haven’t let lingered more than two or three games which is very difficult.
“Nights like tonight, you know the fans are very demanding because they are used to winning.
“Now they have seen this team win, they have more belief and players have more belief in the fans, that is so crucial.
“I feel there is a really good era coming.”
