Chelsea have stated that Callum Hudson-Odoi is now "feeling fine" following his battle with coronavirus.
The Blues wonderkid tested positive for COVID-19 on Friday March 13, less than 24 hours after English football had been suspended until April 30th at the earliest.
As a result, the first-team squad as well as head coach were sent into a period of isolation.
Hudson-Odoi has always been in good spirits and now there is even better news regarding his recovery.
A statement on Chelseafc.com reads: "Further good news on Callum Hudson-Odoi’s recovery from COVID-19…
"We are pleased to report Callum Hudson-Odoi is now feeling fine and back to his usual self following the period of self-isolation required after the player tested positive for COVID-19.
"In addition to feeling good, the young winger is hard at work training at home to build and maintain his fitness, as are the rest of the Chelsea squad.
"It was first announced on Friday 13 March that having been tested for the virus, Hudson-Odoi had tested positive, a result that meant as well as self-isolation, the men’s first-team building at Cobham was initially closed while it underwent a deep-cleaning procedure."
At the time of the news, Hudson-Odoi took to social media soon after to reassure supporters he was recovering well.
"I'm following the health guidelines and self-isolating myself from everybody," he posted on Twitter and Instagram.
This news comes after it was revealed when the Chelsea squad are due to report back to Cobham for training ahead of the planned resumption of the Premier League season.
football.london understands that the Blues won’t be back at training until at least April 6 as a provisional date.
However, that will not be set in stone as it could be dictated by any further announcements by the FA and Premier League over possible future postponements.
