Welcome to our football.london CareFree Chelsea daily news round-up. Maybe not the first, we've definitely done transfer round-ups before, and European round-ups, so I guess in some ways it's not that new at all.
Anyway, we thought we would enter the world of football in a broad and roundabout manner for you and have some fun with some of the stories and captions doing the daily rounds.
Chelsea in talks with Szalai
Football Insider have reported that Chelsea held talks with Attila Szalai in London in a bid to sign the defender.
The Fenerbache centre-back is another option on the Chelsea transfer list for January, as the club continue their hunt for reinforcements despite being in impeccable defensive form of late.
Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen's contracts end in June next year and if contract extensions aren’t agreed and signed it may just well be a good thing the club are looking elsewhere.
Our take: Szalai’s contract at the Turkish club ends in 2025 and if the club could get him for a decent price in January it would only bode well for a squad that is oozing in-depth right now.
Mount not bothered by contract talk
The Telegraph have reported that Mason Mount’s sole focus at Chelsea is not a new contract as the Blues still need to tie down players with much more pressing contract issues.
It was reported earlier in the week that Mount was ‘unhappy' at Chelsea. However, this new report states that the England international's focus is on securing more trophies and titles with Chelsea.
Our take: In fact, Matt Law reports that Mason Mount is happy at Stamford Bridge. This just goes to show that it may just have been a case of ‘fake news’ with previous reports questioning the youngsters future at the club.

Liverpool and Barcelona interested in Pulisic
According to Spanish outlet El Nacional, Christian Pulisic is tired of waiting for his chance at Chelsea and the winger’s agent has allegedly asked Roman Abramovich to allow him to ‘change his mind’ on staying at Chelsea.
The USA internationals contract ends in 2024, making 84 appearances for Chelsea in all competitions since his arrival in 2019. Since leaving Borussia Dortmund the player hasn’t found the same joy on the pitch at Chelsea as he did in Germany.
Premier League rivals Liverpool are mentioned in the report to be interested in signing Pulisic, but Chelsea are unwilling to sell him to a rival English team.
The Catalan club, Barcelona are also interested but they are unable to pay the £58m that Chelsea demand as the club needs the funds to complete other key transfers.
Our take: It would be a big loss to let Pulisic go. However, there could be a light at the end of the tunnel for Pulisic albeit at the expense of Ben Chilwell. After Chilwell’s injury against Juventus in the Champions League, Thomas Tuchel hinted that he could utilise Pulisic in a wing-back role.
