Chelsea have held talks with Manchester United over a deal for winger Alejandro Garnacho.
The Blues want to bolster their attack before the summer transfer window closes and are interested in signing Garnacho.
The Argentina international is not part of Ruben Amorim’s plans at Old Trafford and Standard Sport understands is available for a fee of around £50million.
Manchester United have spent heavily this summer to bolster their squad, bringing in Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha.
The club are also closing in on a deal for RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko, worth £74m.
United will look to sell players during the closing stages of the transfer window and Chelsea hope to capitalise on that.

Garnacho is a player the club like and he would offer competition on both flanks for the Blues.
Chelsea are due in action on Friday, when they take on Bayer Leverkusen in their first pre-season friendly since winning the Club World Cup last month.
Maresca’s squad have had a tight turnaround and he is intrigued to see how they cope with the demands.
“I don’t know the answer, to be honest,” he said. “I am quite curious, because it is the first time it has happened. It is strange, it is different and I really don’t know.
“I am curious because, as you said, Palace started [pre-season] the day after we finished in the USA.
“We had three weeks off. Now we start two days ago, we have two friendly games in 48 hours and, then we go for the Premier League. I don’t know [what will happen]. We see day by day, game by game, how we are - but I don’t know.
“The focus was just to allow them (the players) to recover, because we played 64 games. They never stopped for more than one year in a row, that is something that is not going to happen. It never happened before.
“So, the main focus was just to allow players to recover, come back here, try to do our best, and then we see, game by game. I can see that the mood is, I don’t know if it is correct to say, but it’s different, it’s much better in terms of when you finish the season in the way we finish - quite strong.”
