Chelsea 4-4 Ajax highlights: Watch goals from thrilling Champions League fightback

Chelsea fought back from three goals down but had to settle for a remarkable 4-4 draw against nine-man Ajax after a potential winner was disallowed by VAR.

Captain Cesar Azpilicueta thought he had dramatically claimed all three points for the Blues, only to see his 78th-minute strike disallowed on review for a handball against Tammy Abraham.

Chelsea had earlier looked set to slip to their heaviest Champions League home defeat after the Dutch club went 4-1 up at a stunned Stamford Bridge.

An early Abraham own goal was cancelled out by Jorginho's penalty following a foul on Christian Pulisic, before Qunicy Promes' header, an own goal from Blues goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga and Donny Van De Beek's strike put the visitors in complete control.

But, after Ajax defenders Daley Blind and Joel Veltman were each shown second yellow cards in the space of a minute, Frank Lampard's side battled back in sensational style.

A tap-in from Azpilicueta and Jorginho's second spot-kick of the night, after Veltman was dismissed for handball in the box and Blind sent off for a foul on Abraham in the build-up, was followed by Reece James' first goal for the club.

Azpilicueta was then denied his second of the evening, leaving the two clubs level on seven points at the top of Group H following a chaotic night in west London.
