Chelsea have N'Golo Kante injury worry ahead of Man City Champions League final

Chelsea have been issued an injury concern surrounding midfielder N'Golo Kante ahead of the Champions League final against Manchester City.

The Blues are set to go toe-to-toe with City in the second all-English Champions League final in three years in just 10 days time.

Thomas Tuchel is looking to get the better of Pep Guardiola once again, having beaten the City boss in both the FA Cup and Premier League in recent months.

However, their plot to deny City a first Champions League crown and a treble this season may have been handed a significant blow.

Kante is an integral part of Chelsea's side but could manage only 32 minutes against Leicester City on Tuesday before hobbling off the field to be replaced by Mateo Kovacic.

The France international has featured in 46 matches across all competitions for Chelsea this season, including in all 12 of Chelsea's games en route to the Champions League final.

His injury also raises concern for his national side ahead of the European Championships this summer, having been named amongst Didier Deschamps' squad on Tuesday.

City have an injury concern themselves though ahead of the tie, with Ilkay Gundogan forced off during the defeat to Brighton.

Both clubs will hope their influential midfielders will be available to feature in the Champions League final, which has been moved from Turkey to Portugal.

The two players have 10 days to recover before the showcase final, which brings an end to the season for both sides.
