Chelsea were handed an early injury blow in the clash against Liverpool as Emerson Palmieri hobbled off.
The defender played just 15 minutes of the clash at Stamford Bridge before being taken off by Frank Lampard.
The Italian international has been struggling with a thigh strain which he picked up while away on international duty with Italy earlier this month.
It resulted in the full-back missing Chelsea's fixtures against Wolves and Valencia.
However the decision was made to include Emerson Palmieri in the starting line-up for the clash with Liverpool at Stamford Bridge.
While it's yet to be confirmed whether the injury picked up was a recurrence of his troublesome thigh strain, the defender appears to be clutching that area as he made his way from the pitch to be replaced by Marcos Alonso.
He did, however, take his place on the bench after a brief examination in the changing room.
While the hope is that Emerson Palmieri's injury is nothing serious, it's likely that we'll get a fuller picture when Frank Lampard speaks to the press after the game.
