Chelsea handed huge injury boost after Cesar Azpilicueta's simple two word message

Chelsea midfielder N'Golo Kante has now returned to full training ahead of this weekend's London derby with Tottenham.

The Blues, who are still unbeaten in the Premier League this season after their opening four matches, make the short trip to north London on Sunday afternoon to take on Spurs.

One of Thomas Tuchel's star midfielders, Kante, has been sidelined since the start of September after withdrawing from the France squad with an ankle injury.

However, Tuchel confirmed that the midfielder is back for this weekend's huge clash at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The Blues boss said: "N’Golo is back. He’s back in full shape and ready to play on Sunday."

As well as Tuchel's confirmation, if Chelsea supporters needed any more, Cesar Azpilicueta sent a simple two-word message when walking out with Kante onto the training pitch.

Azpilicueta said: "He's back!", when talking about his team-mate.

Chelsea have dealt with Kante's absence pretty well, with Jorginho, Mateo Kovacic and Saul Niguez helping fill the void over the last few weeks.

It's yet to be seen whether Kante is ready to play from the start against Tottenham, but Tuchel has plenty of options if the Frenchman is not ready for the clash.

But regardless of whether Kante is fit enough to be named in Tuchel's starting line-up, the news that he is nearing his return will certainly be a boost for Chelsea supporters.

Despite the positive news on Kante, all is not perfect on the injury front for Chelsea, with winger Christian Pulisic looking set to miss out on the London derby due to an ankle problem.

Tuchel said this on the USA international in his pre-Spurs press conference on Friday: "Christian Pulisic is in individual training and trying to come back as fast as possible to team training. He will not be in the squad."
