Chelsea great sends Liverpool warning to Man City

Chelsea legend Frank LeBoeuf believes Liverpool are 'capable of winning' every competition they're involved in this season.

The Reds lifted the Carabao Cup trophy after beating Chelsea on penalties last Sunday and progressed to the quarter finals of the FA Cup with a 2-1 win over Norwich City midweek.

They remain within touching distance of Premier League title rivals Manchester City at the top of the table and have the opportunity to book their spot in the quarter-finals of the Champions League next week.

Jurgen Klopp's side are hitting form at the perfect time after a slight dip during the intense winter period, but now LeBoeuf says he's not sure the Manchester club will be able to fend off Liverpool to retain their title.

"I’m not sure [Manchester City will win the title], he told BritishGambler.co.uk.

"Because Liverpool are coming back and are in such a good mood and such good form at the moment, and I believe that Liverpool are capable of winning everything, because they have the squad to do so.

"Klopp decided to rest about 10 players for the match against Norwich, and they did the job!

"Liverpool is really leaning on their stamina. The players are all about heart and what they can give to the club.

"They have fantastic players, a fantastic squad and are capable of fighting until the end against Manchester City."

City reclaimed the title last season after they finished 12 points clear of Manchester United in second.

Klopp has previously spoken about the competition between the two teams and admitted they 'push each other'.

"We try to be as annoying as possible, somehow, until we have a chance to overtake. I don’t know when they will be; IF that will be the case,” he said last month.

“I think we are pushing each other, I think that is how it is a little bit, it just keeps you going. There is no chance to get a bit soft, because the other one will be there immediately to catch you.”
