Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel is said to be enjoying working with the Blues, amid reported interest from Manchester United for their vacant managerial position. It comes as the club was thrown into a period of uncertainty a few weeks ago, due to sanctions placed on owner Roman Abramovich.
The UK Government placed a freeze on the 55-year-old ’s UK assets, including the football club, as they described him as a “Pro-Kremlin oligarch” with ties to Russian President Vladimir Putin. Roman Abramovich has always denied having links with Vladimir Putin.
As a result, Chelsea are having to operate under a special sporting licence, meaning they are only able to work within footballing means. Things such as tickets and merchandise can no longer be sold by the club, so for the time being only season ticket holders can attend home games from Brentford onwards, unless the situation changes once again.

Abramovich then announced the club would be sold, leaving questions over the future of Chelsea and their squad. That has led to players being linked with moves away, though so has manager Tuchel, who has reportedly been put on Manchester United’s shortlist for their managerial position.
When asked about a move to Old Trafford, the German coach said: “No reaction at all. Do you feel me less committed to the club or less involved in the club in my situation?" He has come in for a lot of praise for not only his work on the pitch, but his reaction to a series of issues off of it too.
If there were any concerns about the coach leaving, then they may have been cleared up as Goal reports that Tuchel loves working at Chelsea. The report claims that he is a fan of the club’s structure, which allows him to focus on football compared to his previous job at PSG.
The news will be music to the ears of Blues’ supporters after an impressive spell from Tuchel since his appointment just over one-year ago. The manager has guided his side to a Champions League, UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup victory with his squad already.
The stats mean it is no great surprise that Manchester United showed interest, given their need to rebuild to become competitive again, but it seems Stamford Bridge is set for more of Tuchel and his touchline antics.
