With the Premier League and broadcasters hoping to get the games on, there have already been suggestions of swapping the venues, which creates its own logistical problems on such short notice. For example, Liverpool and Everton would then end up playing at home on the same day with Chelsea and West Ham fans in the same area.
Graham Potter's first Chelsea game in charge is still expected to be this Wednesday at home to RB Salzburg in the second Champions League group game. Should the Liverpool game also be called off, the Blues' next scheduled Premier League game would be away to Crystal Palace on the 1st of October following the international break.
