Chelsea given major boost in Kai Havertz chase as Bayern Munich stance is revealed

Chelsea might have been given a major boost in the race for Kai Havertz this summer.

The Bayer Leverkusen star is being linked with a move away from the club when the 2019/20 season comes to an end, with big links to a move to Stamford Bridge.

Meanwhile, Bayern Munich had also been linked with a deal for the 21-year-old, with Havertz having been a standout star in the Bundesliga for the past couple of seasons.

However, according to German publication Bild, the champions of Germany are now not expected to go in for the forward, and instead focus on Leroy Sane this summer.

Chelsea fans shouldn't worry about Timo Werner transfer

According to the report, Bayern will not be willing to shell out the potential €100million asking price for the youngster, unless it is a move for 2021.

However, Havertz is keen on a move away from Leverkusen this summer and willing to come to the Premier League.

Chelsea have already sealed a deal for Hakim Ziyech and are expected to add Timo Werner from RB Leipzig in the coming days.

Havertz will still be a tough potential transfer for the Blues to pull off, with the Blues also keen on a new left-back this summer.
