Italy boss Roberto Mancini has given Chelsea a boost after providing an update on the injury sustained by defender Emerson Palmieri.
The Chelsea left-back went off with what looked like a muscle injury after just seven minutes of Italy's 2-1 win against Finland in a qualifier for the European Championships in 2020.
Emerson limped off after pulling up when chasing down Norwich City striker Teemu Pukki as Finland looked to counter attack in the early stages of the game.
That gave Chelsea cause for concern , with Emerson featuring in all four Premier League games under Frank Lampard so far this season.
But ahead of the Blues' game against Wolves at Molineux next weekend, Lampard has been handed a boost as the former Manchester City boss spoke about the injury in his post-match press conference.
The Italy boss said: "It was nothing serious, he stopped to ensure it didn't get any worse.
"The defence did well, as Armando Izzo and Francesco Acerbi were playing together for the first time, but Alessandro Florenzi also impressed on the left, considering he was the only option we had remaining."
Chelsea midfielder Jorginho netted the winning goal from the penalty spot to move Italy six points clear of Finland at the top of Group J, with maximum points from their six games so far.
