Chelsea forward admits he will leave the Blues in the summer

Pedro has admitted that his time at Chelsea is going to an end this summer when his contract runs out.

The Spaniard will become a free agent at the end of the 2019/20 campaign and it was unlikely that the Blues were going to offer him a new deal.

The 32-year-old joined the club in 2015 but has seen his playing time take a hit in recent seasons, dropping the pecking order with the Blues.

And the winger has admitted that his time will be up when the season eventually does come to an end in the summer.

"I’m terminating my contract, but right now it’s not the most important thing, nor have I stopped to think about it," Pedro told El Larguero on CADENA SER, as quoted by Sport Witness.

"From there on what has to do with my future will come, but right now it’s not the most important thing when you don’t even know when you’re going to train again."

Football is currently on a hiatus right now with the coronavirus epidemic having spread around the world.

Pedro is trying to use his foundation to help the fight against the virus, having been unable to see his own children.

"(I’ve talked with) Jordi (Alba), with someone else… and the same, living this situation with much chaos, with uncertainty," he added.

"The confinement, which is also complicated … a little difficult and hard on everything.

"I have not been able to travel either and see my children. I had a chance to be with them, and I could not travel.

"It is a situation that is sometimes uncontrollable because there are no means, no resources.

"I feel very sorry for everything that is happening and the news that we receive from Spain.

"From here we thank once again all the health personnel, the state security forces, the people who are in the supermarkets every day.

"Thank everyone for the work they are doing. I hope we can stop this virus."
