Chelsea fixtures for Premier League 2020-21 season: Full match schedule with dates

Chelsea will begin their Premier League campaign away at Brighton after the fixtures for the 2020-21 season were confirmed on Thursday.

As a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, the new top-flight campaign follows fast on the heels of 2019-20, with teams set for another packed schedule as the delayed European Championship looms large in June.

Things look particularly busy for teams involved in Europe, with Chelsea having secured Champions League qualification on the final day last term.

While that achievement - coupled with the signings of Timo Werner and Hakim Ziyech - produced a notable feel-good factor around Chelsea, they later lost the FA Cup Final to Arsenal and suffered a 7-1 aggregate defeat to Bayern Munich in the Champions League round of 16.

Lampard insists his side will be ready to go for the new season and will be pleased that the Premier League have slightly delayed their start until the evening of Monday, September 14 in order to allow more time for rest.

They will need to be on the front foot with the visit of champions Liverpool in the second game.

Tottenham, and Jose Mourinho, come to town on November 28, with the reverse fixture on February 3. It's Arsenal away on Boxing Day and Manchester City at Stamford Bridge on January 2.

A tough looking run-in sees sees games against City, Arsenal and Leicester before the season concludes away at Aston Villa.
