Chelsea fixtures 2019/20: The teams the Blues face in nine remaining Premier League games

The Premier League is set to return next month, and Chelsea will have a Champions League place and silverware still to play for.

The league’s plans for a June 17 restart have been confirmed as Project Restart gathers pace following a busy week.

The action begins with Aston Villa facing Sheffield United and Manchester City taking on Arsenal in the first couple of fixtures, before a full schedule of games takes place on the weekend of June 19-21.

The matches will be coming thick and fast, with 92 fixtures yet to be played across the Premier League.

And the Blues are set to be one of the busiest sides in action with matters in the FA Cup and Champions League still to be settled.

No dates have yet been officially confirmed, although Frank Lampard’s men face a number of pivotal fixtures as they look to hold onto their place in the Premier League’s top four.

They’re set to get things started with a trip to relegation-threatened Aston Villa on that June 19-21 weekend, before hosting Manchester City in their next game, by which time Pep Guardiola’s side could have lost their crown as champions.

There’s not much travelling to do over the next few games, with a trip to West Ham being followed by the visit of Watford, before the Blues make the short journey to Crystal Palace in their following game.

A tricky test at Sheffield United follows, before they host bottom side Norwich City and travel to Anfield to take on Liverpool, who should have their title sewn up by then.

The Blues finish the season off at home to Wolves in a game that could well decide who claims that all-important final place in the top four.

There’s also the matter of an FA Cup quarter final at Leicester City to be decided on June 27/28, which could then lead to a semi-final appearance on July 18/19 before the final is held on August 1.

That would bring Lampard’s men up to a total of 13 games remaining in all competitions, with their last-16 Champions League tie against Bayern Munich still to be decided – although having lost the first leg 3-0 at Stamford Bridge, it’s unlikely the Blues will be venturing any further into the competition.
