Even though Salzburg had early pressure, he didn't really get forced into a save except for diving at the feet to deny Hee Chan Hwang. Then made a stunning save from a free-kick. 7

A really good half. Blistering recovery pace to stop a dangerous through ball, got forward well and played in some nice crosses. One stinging shot saved as well. 8
David Luiz
Looked a little shaky at times, dispossesed too easily and a couple of unusual sloppy passes. Beaten to the ball a few times as well. 5
Kurt Zouma
Like Luiz, not a great start to the game as the hosts really pressed high and put him under a lot of pressure. Grew into the half with a couple of decent clearances. 5
Cesar Azpilicueta
More on the defensive side of the game today, but looked solid in the half and composed when he had the ball. 6

Looked calm when Salzburg put the Blues under pressure and moved the ball well for the 45 minutes. 7

Looks so good in that two in the middle. Calm on the ball and physically put himself about. Looking even better than he has done before this summer. 8

The one forward a little off the pace. A couple of decent positions that he found himself in, however didn't make the most of the chances. 5

His best half for Chelsea in his short career so far. The right back and centre back couldn't get near him. Two lovely finishes and winning the penalty. A great showing. 9

Looks superb right now in the number 10 role. A well taken penalty and his ball over the top for Pulisic to score was stunning. A fantastic display. 9
Tammy Abraham
Tried to put himself about, but his link up wasn't really there at times. One chance on goal with a header that he should have done better with. 5
